The International Festival for Emerging Artists, also know as IFEA is an exciting, innovative initiative that brings together young emerging artists from all over the world to share their creativity, talent, cultures and stories.
It is a unique global celebration of diversity and creativity expressed through a multitude of art forms such as Theatre, Dance, Music, Visual Arts, Street art.
The inaugural Festival was held between 7th to 20th July 2008 at Theatre Royal Stratford East, Stratford Circus and Think Store.
The Festival included Collaborating sessions (artist-led workshops), Discovering sessions (expert classes) and also Public Performances chosen for their ability to inspire and entertain.
Throughout the Festival, our participating artists took photos to document, in an informal way, their experience of IFEA 2008. Click here to see their visual accounts of the Festival.
LATEST NEWS - FUTURE PLANS:
After reviewing the extensive Evaluation and Feedback from both the participants and steering group partners in IFEA2008 pilot year, the plan is to use 2009 to help build a programme and resources that means we can commit to a three year infinitive: IFEA2010, IFEA2011 and IFEA2012!
