Ujjal has been working in the theatre and media industries for more than fifteen years. He has directed and acted in many plays and performed on Bangladeshi radio and television. Ujjal is a coordinator for the International Seachange Project, initiated by Chickenshed UK and designed to put young people across the world in touch through storytelling. Ujjal is a well known theatre reporter in Bangladesh and, until 2005, worked as a contributing features writer for the Daily Prothom Alo’s Theatre and Showbiz section. Ujjal has also worked as a contributing reporter for Bangladesh’s Daily Star, Frontline Theatre and the Weekly Surma (UK).
