Sudip is a theatre practitioner based in Bangladesh. He has performed at national and international theatre festivals and directed and designed over thirty plays; winning several awards for his work. Sudip is a lecturer in the department of Theatre and Music at the University of Dhaka. His major areas of interest are applied theatre and the indigenous theatre of Bangladesh. He is currently working with several youth theatre groups, leading workshops that investigate Euro-America centric theatre practice in Bangladesh. He has led extensive research, through theatre, into the power and energy of the Hindu goddess Kali.
