Serious is delighted to be a partner in this very first International Festival for Emerging Artists. As an established innovator, producing live events across the full spectrum of jazz and music from around the world, IFEA feels like a very natural extension of our work. It also creates a forum for further collaboration with Theatre Royal Stratford East and other colleagues from across the UK’s cultural sector.

We act as a catalyst creating the conditions to inspire diverse artists, audiences and communities, putting artists and the creative process at the heart of everything we do. Whether we’re working with internationally renowned artists or new talent, we seek to create an environment where artists are supported and encouraged to reach their full potential. The International Festival of Emerging Artists creates a unique opportunity to do just this, as almost 60 burgeoning artists from around the world are challenged and nurtured over an intensive residency in the heart of one of London’s most creative areas.
