LINAR OGENIA
Identified by the Theatre Royal, Stratford East
Linar is a performer and theatre maker. He graduated with a degree in Modern Mime from the Amsterdam Art Academy in 2007. His performance style is influenced by breakdancing, martial arts and the mime-technique of Etienne Decroux. Whilst at university, Linar co-founded the group Orange Guinea Pigs, which went on to win the Hollandse Nieuwe Festival Theatre-Makers Award with the piece Orange Guinea Pigs 3.1. Besides working as an actor, Linar is also a performance poet and coaches young members of the theatre group MC (Made in da Shade/Cosmictheatre). Linar’s collaboration with MC extends to performance and he most recently appeared in the company’s production Hrmnnh! Kung Fu Hossel.
