Since 2000, Chin Hua has worked with the Penang based theatre company Zao Xin Chang as an actor, stage manager and member of the management committee. In 2002, Chin Hua stage managed Zao Xin Chang’s street performance Mr. Love lane in Penang. He later performed in the company’s production of Dai Ko Dai (2003) at the Festival Theatre of Malaysia. In 2004, Kong and other members of Zao Xin Chang took part in Contacting the World, a programme initiated by the Contact Theatre, Manchester. Chin Hua recently acted in Zao Xin Chang’s A midsummer night’s dream in the international Shakespeare 24 project.
