FRANCINE NYIRAKOBWA

Francine was born in to a family of artists, first performing with her mother at the age of five. She is now a dancer and a member of the National Ballet of Rwanda. She is also an affiliate of the Centre Universitaire des Arts in Butare where she frequently partakes in workshops and dance projects. Francine is experienced in both traditional and contemporary dance and is one of the few women in Rwanda to play the drums, an art form customarily reserved only for men.
