Alesandra recently graduated with a BA (hons) in dance studies. She has worked with Mavin Khoo, Beverly Glean (Irie! Dance), Lincoln Allert, Kenrick Sandy, Tara Herbert (Dance United), Carol Straker (Alvin Ailey), Philippa Donellan and Rafael Bonachela. Alesandra toured in Push the Tempo with the creative dance company Connecting Vibes. She went on to perform in Resolutions! At the Robin Howard Theatre, Underworld at the Peacock Theatre and Carmen Jones at the Royal Festival Hall. In 2006, Alesandra founded Vocab’ Dance Company with a vision towards fusing contemporary dance and physical theatre using techniques derived from African dance. Alesandra’s approach to choreography is centered around story telling that harnesses the raw energy and skills of her dancers. Vocab’ Dance Company has performed at the Laban Theatre, Hackney Empire and as part of Blueprint 2007 and 2008, Ascendance at the Lilian Baylis Theatre and The Big Dance Festival 2006 (Tate Modern).
